Commemorate the Halloween Season as Festivities Arrive in Los Santos
Expect the reintroduction of zombie survival modes, the addition of a submerged slasher mode, extraterrestrial scenarios, and other features
Throughout October, Southern San Andreas features Halloween-themed events in GTA Online, including UFO sightings and transformations. A new Slasher mode is available in the Ramius submarine, along with returning modes such as Beast vs. Slasher, Judgement Day, and Condemned. During this period, there are increased payouts: Double GTA$ and RP on Bunker Sell Missions, and 30% off Bunkers and their Upgrades & Modifications for the week. Players can obtain free Halloween Masks and find discounts on themed vehicles, including the LCC Sanctus, Albany Lurcher , Albany Fränken Stange, and Chariot Romero Hearse. In addition, the Mid-Autumn Festival is observed in GTA Online; those who play before October 8th receive the Red Yeti Fall Cap.
This month, Cayo Perico Survival and Ludendorff Cemetery Survival are both available in GTA Online for a limited period, introducing waves of challenging opponents, including zombies, to the unique settings of El Rubio’s island and North Yankton. Players are invited to return and face an array of adversaries such as the undead, juggernauts, armored conquistadors, splitters, possessed animals with their trainers, and zombie DJs.
Cayo Perico Survival will offer Double GTA$ and RP from October 2nd to the 8th, while Ludendorff Cemetery Survival will provide Triple Rewards from October 23rd to November 5th. Additionally, those interested in creating content with a zombie theme can now utilize Island Zombie Shamblers and Runners within their own projects by using the Survival Creator tool. The latest variation of this Halloween classic places participants within the dark confines of the Ramius submarine, where navigation relies on heightened senses due to limited visibility. Players must traverse multiple decks, engage in close-quarters combat, and avoid fatal dangers. The Slasher begins each round equipped with a Shotgun, while the Hunted utilize Flashlights to move through the darkness. After three minutes, the Hunted gain access to Shotguns and the roles reverse. Compete in Slasher (Ramius Submarine) for the opportunity to earn 2X GTA$ and RP as part of the Featured Series from October 16th–22nd. Previous Slasher modes will also be available in GTA Online throughout October.
Slasher is not the sole Adversary Mode returning this season. Throughout October, a variety of Halloween-themed modes will be featured in the Featured Series, offering Double Rewards each week—with benefits increasing to 4X for GTA+ Members:
- October 2–8: Beast vs. Slasher
- October 9–15: Judgement Day
- October 16–22: Slasher (Ramius Submarine)
- October 23–29: Condemned
- October 30–November 5: Slasher (includes Ramius Submarine)
Numerous unique events will take place across Los Santos this month. Mid-month, observers may notice UFOs in the sky, which appear to be involved in abductions. Participants are also invited to assist local investigators in the "Ghosts Exposed" initiative by providing photographic evidence of supernatural occurrences. Additionally, collecting Jack O’ Lanterns throughout the month will offer opportunities to earn bonus GTA$ and further rewards.
Beginning October 2nd, participants who complete the initial three weeks of Weekly Challenges this month will receive the Vinewood Undead Collection prior to Halloween. This bundle includes the new Slasher Clown Outfit, the exclusive Please Stop Me Mask, the Vinewood Zombie Tee, and the comprehensive Skulls livery for the Mammoth Avenger. Additionally, all Weekly Challenges throughout the month will offer double the standard GTA$ rewards and feature collectible Halloween Masks.
- October 2nd–8th: Survive two Waves in a Survival without dying to earn GTA$200,000 and the Brown Vintage Zombie Mask (required to unlock the Vinewood Undead Collection).
- October 9th–15th: Complete three Taxi Fares to claim GTA$200,000 and the Weathered Vintage Mummy Mask (required to unlock the Vinewood Undead Collection).
- October 16th–22nd: Win one Adversary Mode to earn GTA$200,000 and the Brown Vintage Werewolf Mask (required to unlock the Vinewood Undead Collection).
- October 23rd–29th: Survive four Waves in a Survival without dying to earn GTA$200,000 and the Gray Jumping Spider Mask.
- October 30–November 5: Win one Adversary Mode to earn GTA$200,000 and the Gray Hooded Skull Mask.
The Community Series will participate in seasonal activities this month, introducing new Jobs on a weekly basis. These include themed Deathmatches, haunted racetracks created by shervera1980 and Trixx74 featuring pumpkins and coffins, as well as an expansive course designed by Mr_Kevson.
