Also, a recent report from The Verge reveals that Sony is testing AI-powered PlayStation characters. A leaked video shows Aloy from the Horizon games being used to demonstrate this technology, with Sony's software engineering director Sharwin Raghoebardajal interacting with an AI version of Aloy through voice prompts and AI-generated speech while playing Horizon Forbidden West. The demo uses OpenAI’s Whisper for speech-to-text and GPT-4 and Llama 3 for conversations, while Sony's Emotional Voice Synthesis (EVS) and Mockingbird technologies handle speech generation and facial animation. The video, taken down due to a copyright claim, suggests the project's legitimacy. Horizon Forbidden West is currently available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Skate
As noted in a recent report from Insider Gaming, Skate’s playtest will receive microtransactions in the next update. Despite not being fully out yet, players will be able to buy San Van Bucks with real money. This can then be used to buy cosmetic items in the game. Developer Full Circle states that the microtransactions were added to evaluate the function. Player progress will be reset when the full game launches and spent San Van Bucks will be refunded in the full game on the same EA account.

Palworld
Pocketpair has announced that the cross-play update for Palworld will launch in late March. The update will allow players playing on different platforms to play together. Palworld is available now in Early Access for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store, it is also available on Xbox Game Pass.
inZOI
Krafton has unveiled a new trailer for its forthcoming life simulation game, inZOI, providing insights into the experience of city life within the game.
The setting of inZOI is the fictional city of Dowon, described as capturing the essence of a Korean metropolis by combining modernity with natural beauty. The trailer opts not to use narration but instead showcases the atmosphere of Dowon through visual storytelling.
The player’s character is depicted exploring various parts of the city, highlighting the arrival of Spring marked by cherry blossom blooms and urban features such as subway entrances and parks for residents. Additionally, the trailer illustrates diverse activities available to players, including purchasing a lottery ticket and winning, witnessing a wedding ceremony, and encountering humorous scenarios such as an individual struggling with an uncooperative vending machine.
Project Delta
People Can Fly and Sony Interactive are collaborating on [codename] “Project Delta”, a game based on a Sony IP. People Can Fly will work for Sony in a work-for-hire model and production will be divided into stages. Other details were not revealed. People Can Fly notably is codeveloping the upcoming Gears of War game, Gears of War: E-Day.
Silent Hill f
Silent Hill f will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store; the release date is yet to be announced but a trailer was released. It shows the new Japanese setting in the 1960s and new protagonist Shimizu Hinako in a “secluded town of Ebisugaoka [which] is consumed by a sudden fog, transforming [Hinako’s] home into a haunting nightmare.” Be prepared for jump scares, disturbing visuals and audio.
Star Wars: Hunters
Zynga's Star Wars: Hunters will end on October 1st, with the final update on April 15th. Launched on June 4th, 2024, it is available on Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and PC via Steam in Early Access. Players engage in third-person combat across battlegrounds inspired by iconic Star Wars worlds.
God of War
God of War Ragnarök will get a free "Dark Odyssey" armor update on March 20th for its 20th anniversary. Originally launched on November 9 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, this update will be available at no extra cost to all players on these platforms. The "Dark Odyssey" collection, inspired by God of War (2005) and a skin from God of War II, features a classic black and gold theme. You can access the collection from any Lost Items chest in the base game or automatically in Valhalla once the update goes live.
Also, Amazon’s God of War TV series is generating buzz with high expectations from fans. The show, now led by Ronald D. Moore, aims to bring Kratos's story to life and promises justice to the games. Originally progressing with Rafe Judkins, Hawk Ostby, and Mark Fergus, they exited the project last year. Moore, known for Battlestar Galactica, Outlander, and For All Mankind, has shared new details confirming Amazon’s commitment to the project.
Moon Studios
Moon Studios has now become independent after previously being under Take-Two Interactive’s Private Division. The studio has developed several notable games including No Rest for the Wicked and the Ori series. “After months of negotiations, we have successfully acquired the publishing rights for No Rest for the Wicked, enabling Moon Studios to achieve full independence,” stated Gennadiy Korol of Moon Studios. “This legal process required considerable time, and we were unable to disclose details during its progression.” No Rest for the Wicked is currently available for PC through Steam Early Access.
Split Fiction
EA's "Split Fiction" achieved significant commercial success, selling over two million units within its first week of release. The publisher reported that the game sold one million units on its first day alone. "Split Fiction" was launched on March 6th and is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. In this game, players assume the roles of Mio and Zoe, two contrasting writers who find themselves ensnared in their own narratives after being connected to a machine intended to extract their creative ideas.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
Kepler Interactive has released a character trailer for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, featuring the character Gustave. The trailer provides insights into Gustave's background and includes voice lines, gameplay footage, and cutscenes. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is scheduled for release on April 24th for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Pre-orders are currently available, and the game will also be accessible through Xbox Game Pass.
Grand Theft Auto V/Online
CFX.RE/FiveM, with Rockstar Games, is creating a tool to port GTAV Legacy assets to GTAV Enhanced. This conversion tool will help the modding community make compatible assets and support formats like .ydd, .ydr, .yft, and .ytd. Some file types such as .ycd and .ybn do not need conversion.
They are finalizing tasks required for release and will announce the date soon, along with full documentation.
GTAV Enhanced has also received patches to fix framerate issues, crashes, graphics options, and more, improving overall performance and stability.
